We went to Amane's first Easter Egg hunting on Saturday. It was held in a local park near us and I was pretty excited as it was my first egg hunting, too!
We got there about 30 minutes before the hunting started, Amane saw some baby animals in the petting zoo, played some game and then did her favorite activity, running around the park!
For the egg hunt, the soccer field was divided into couples of area s for different age groups. We were in 0-2 years old area. It looked like there were plenty of eggs to hunt. But boy, was I wrong! When they announced to begin the hunt, it literally took only 10 seconds before all the eggs were gone!! Amane got 1 egg, but she was more than happy with it.
Overall, it was fun experience and weather was perfect, I just wish they had more eggs! I hope all the kids got at least 1 egg.

今週末は来週末に控えたイースター（キリスト教の復活祭）にまつわるイベントが盛り沢山でした。
中でも、中にお菓子やおもちゃを入れた卵を探す子供向けのイベント、エッグ・ハンティングがあちらこちらで開催。今年は楽しめるのではないかと、我が家族も近くの公園でのハントに初参戦。
会場の公園に到着し、余りの混雑ぶりにやや驚愕しながらも、何か家族イベントって感じで楽しい〜とテンションはうなぎ上りの私。
さて肝心のエッグハントは、年齢毎に区切られたサッカー場の中に散乱しているプラスチックの卵を拾い集める。ただそれだけなんすが。
開始の合図と同時にわらわらとエリアに詰めかける親子。
わずか10秒程で全ての卵が消失。早っ
こんなもんなの？としばし呆然。
雨音は辛うじて1個拾う事ができたものの、全ての子供が拾えたかは謎。
来年は卵を持参して撒きながら拾わせようか…とちと考えさせられるイベントとなったのでした。
