I don't even remember what I've been doing, but it has been kind of  hectic for me recently.  I guess that is the life with 2 kids! oh well. 

Amane still enjoys the day school ( I think, I hope ) even she catches cold every other week and has to skip going there.  I guess they just give and take germs to each other all the time.  

Anyway, here is the picture of her on the way from the school.  She recently started to do this face when I ask her to "show me your good face! " I love being able to communicate with her, it's so much fun!  And I love this girl with giant smile on her face :)

ご無沙汰しております。

何をしてたのかすら思い出せない位何だかばたついておりました。

小さい方が2人居る生活ってこんなもんか。

雨音は相変わらず教会の朝クラスに通ってますが、なんせ隔週風邪をもらって帰って来る。

きっとうつしてうつされての繰り返しなんだろうな。恐るべし子供風邪菌。

さて、今日の写真は最近覚えた

せっかくの二重（私が一重なもんでついつい二重を大事にせーよと力んでしまう）も台無しの笑顔。と貫禄の腰回り。

でも、この笑顔があるから頑張れるってのが母ちゃんなんだな。

We visited our friend's new house on Wednesday.  They have been in the house less than 2 months, but looked so much more put together than our house... shame on us, seriously!  Well, now I am super motivated to work on ours.  Homegoods, here I come!

そんな訳で、子供達の水曜コーディネート。写真暗いな。

I recently discovered that yellow is the color for Amane.  I like how kids clothes are so bright and colorful here in the States.  It seems people prefer monotone or very pale colors for kids in Japan.  I love mix and match different colors and patterns.  I want to try bright colors myself this summer, too!  My usual is black and navy all year long, it's time for a change!

最近雨音は黄色が似合う事を発見。

アメリカ子供服は何と言っても原色、ネオンカラー等々、目の覚めるよな色が多い。

まぁ確かに似合うんだな、これが。こっちの子供達は。

街を歩くと「おーその組み合わせがあったか！斬新！」と勉強になる事も多い。

最近は柄×柄が楽しい、子供も私もね。

今年の夏はパッとした色を着たいな〜やっと妊婦服から解放された事ですし。

Bargain hunting! 子供服バーゲン！

Kid to Kid is having a semi-annual sale that started last Thursday,  I had my mother-in-law watching kids and went there to stock up some kids clothes.  Now we have 2 kids, girl and a boy, I feel like we're constantly in need for new clothes for them.  Especially for Kaisei, who is growing out of size 3 month already... He is only 1 and a half months, yikes!  

Anyway, everything was 10% off in store and 40% off of already marked down items.  Also There were $1 bin in front of the casher,  and they come down to 60 cents each!  What a bargain!! 

I love love shopping and bargains, so I had such a good time!  I wish I had more time,  (I didn't want to exhaust grandmama by watching two kids too long) so I could see bigger size for the coming years.  Oh well, in the end, I got 2 tops,  a dress, 3 skirts, a shorts for Amane.  3 shirts, 3 rompers and a overall for Kaisei.  And it was $20 and something, ( I used $5 off coupon when you spend more than $25) 

I used the store credit I had from selling unwanted items before, so I didn't spend a dime!  Awesome!  

Kid to Kid have clothes and toys that are really in good condition, even though the store itself is pretty small, I love it!  

先週木曜は義母に子供達を見てもらい、子供リサイクルショップの半年に1度のセールへ。

子供が2人になり、姉弟と言う事もあって、常に服の需要がある我が家。

特に海晴は1ヶ月半にして、3ヶ月用の服がぴっちぴっち。という半端ない成長っぷり。

定価で買ってなんかはいられません。

その日は店内全て10％オフ、更に値下げされたものからはそこから更に40％オフ、またレジ前には全て1㌦の箱！（そこから40％になるので、最終価格はなんと60セント（約60円！）

この日はセール初日とあってかなり混んでいましたが、脇目もふらず黙々と買う。元々即決買いするタイプなので、迷いはしないんす。

できれば大きめのサイズも見たかったけど、何せ義母に子を預けてる身。後ろ髪引かれる思いで店を後にしました。

結局、雨音はトップス2枚、スカート3枚、ショーパン1枚。海晴はトップス3枚、ロンパース3着、オーバーオール1枚。総額＄20弱（2000円位）なり！

更にこのお店では、ここに不要になったおもちゃや服を売ると、その分をストアクレジットとして、次の買い物に使える仕組みになっていて、私は20㌦以上残っていたので、今回は無料で全てをゲット！ばんざーい、主婦の鑑！（自己満足で生きてます）

これで冬物買う時期まではしばらく過ごせる…はず。

息子よ、ゆっくり育っておくれー

Fashion Baby キッズコーデ

Amane has been great with her new baby brother, she kisses him and tries to hold him constantly.  I feel bad we haven't taken her out for such a long time.  So when we do go out, I love to dress her up a little.  I wish she would let me put pins or bows in her hair.  If anyone knows the trick, I would love to know!

Here is what she was wearing the other day.

海晴が産まれてから、しばらく外出できずに退屈な思いをさせてるのではと気掛かりな新米姉ちゃん、雨音。

家ではついつい楽チンほぼパジャマ姿で過ごさせてしまうので、出掛ける時位はちと着飾ってみる。歩けるようになってからはスカート姿も様になったように感じます。

ただ髪留めやゴムは力づくで外してしまうこのお年頃。

何か良い方法があったら是非ともご教授頂きたいところ。

Great Kids Sandals! おすすめ子供靴

I was searching for good sandals that fit our toddler daughter's foot.  I bought a pair at Old Navy for less than $4.00, but they just don't stay and we had to chase the wild kid running in the store in barefoot.  What a shame.

So I asked my fashionista mama friend and she recommended me the Salt Water Sandals.  They are sold in department stores and online stores such as Zappos.com or Amazon.  

We bought ours at the department store and they were $33.00.  They are not cheap, but I really really love them!  They seem to be comfortable and look adorable.  And if you go online, the color variation is awesome, too.  Also you may be able to get them a little cheaper, too. 

We bought the red pair first and then had to buy another pair in navy in different design because I love them so much...  I still want to get yellow, but I guess that's enough for now.  

The only con I have for them is it takes FOREVER for Amane to put them on by herself.  (she is now in the phase of "I want to put my shoes by myself")  But apart from that, I would definitely recommend them for both boys and girls! 

カッパ手（常に手が湿っている状態を指す）体質が遺伝したのか、やたら足汗をかく娘、雨音。

何か良いサンダルはないかとお洒落ママ友に聞いた所、ソルトウォーターサンダルをおすすめしてくれました。

早速赤のペア↑を購入。

感想は、なんて可愛い！履き心地も良さそうだし、何と言っても脱げる心配ナシ。これ重要。

これを買う前に数㌦で購入したサンダルは3秒で脱げてしまい、店中を裸足で駆けてく陽気なサザエさんどころの騒ぎでなく、ただの野生児と化した我が子を見て呆然としたので…

周りのご両親の視線が刺さって痛かった。

これはいいって事で2足目も形違い、色違いの紺を調達。

本当はエナメルっぽい素材の黄色も欲しい所ですが、そんなにいらんくね？おいらサンダル１足で一夏過ごしてんだし。と冷静に分析する旦那に

「いやーおめーはアメリカ人だし男だし、ビーサンだし」

と言いたい所をぐっと我慢して、とりあえずはこの２足で様子を見る事に。

最大の難点は最近 ”何でも自分でしたい病” 発病中の我が娘。自分で履こうとするとベルト部分ができるまで永遠にかかるのですが、まぁこれも成長だもんね、見守るしかない。

それ以外は本当に実用的でデザインも可愛い！大満足！紹介してくれた友達に感謝、感激、雨あられ。

日本でもどうやら購入可能な様子、本当におすすめです。

Fashion Baby ベビコーデ05/01

Amane and I went to see our good friends Chika and her daughter today.  Our girls are the same age and recently they start to play together.  It's really fun to watch them interact with each other, super cute!

But today,  while Chika and I were enjoying our girl talk,  I looked over and saw Amane's face half red.  I couldn't react for a few seconds before I was like "oh my goodness, she's bleeding!!"  We both went to check out the girls and it turned out they painted each other's face (and their clothes and the wall) with my lip stain.  Phew!  We just cracked up and the girls just stood there not knowing what was so funny.

What we learned today:  when they are quiet for a while, they're up to no good!  haha

本日は仲良しちかちゃん（ちかちゃんブログ）へお宅訪問。

最近何となく一緒に遊び始めた娘達。奇声を発しながら追いかけ合ってる姿なんかはなかなか微笑ましいものがあります。

そのお陰もあってガールズトークにしばし花を咲かせていた我ら母ちゃん。

随分静かな娘ども…と思ってちらりと2人を見てみると、あれ？雨音のほっぺ赤っ。

って、え!?　（２度見）流血してる!?

慌てて駆け寄る我ら。

そしたら何と雨音が私のバッグから拝借したリップグロスでお互いの顔（と服と壁…）を塗りっこしてたのでした。

もう大爆笑、何笑ってんすか。とぽかん顔のちび子等2人を前に笑いの止まらん私達でした。子供っておもろいなー

Fashion Baby 4/18/14 ベビコーデ

I am not a hard core Trader Joe's shopper, but it certainly is different from the other supermarket and I enjoy their friendliness and kid-size shopping carts!  That's a pretty good idea except she puts almost everything to the cart within her reach... but still better than screaming kid on normal shopping cart.

本日は郵便局帰りにオーガニック系食料を沢山扱うトレーダージョーズへ。

オリジナル商品も多く、パッケージも可愛いので、このお店日本に進出したら人気が出そう。

更にここは子供サイズのカートがあって、子供達に大人気。

雨音もすっかりご機嫌で買い物に付き合ってくれました。

普段行くスーパーでカートに乗せるとモノの数分で飽きる→絶叫→降ろす→逃走

このパターンなので、これは重宝。

手の届く範囲の物ほぼ全品かごに入れたって、カートごと他のお客さんに突っ込んで行きそうになったって（それを必死で食い止める母）絶叫児よりは100倍まし。

I am currently 35 weeks pregnant and I am SO ready for this pregnancy to be over!

First of all, I can't wait to see my little guy, but also I am ready to ditch all the maternity clothes and go back to my normal clothes.  But somehow I am managing and this is what Amane and I wore for the Easter Egg Hunting.

現在妊娠35週目の私。

体重管理に余りうるさくないアメリカ在住を良い事に増加した体重は軽〜く2ケタ越えとります。そうなるとやっぱり身体が重い。

この最後数週間が１番体力的にはきっついな。

早く産んで元の身体、服に戻りたいと切に願う日々。

まぁそれでもお腹の中でしっかり成長を遂げるに越した事はないので、あと数週間、仲良くやっていこうではないか、ジュニア君よ。

てな訳で、先週末のエッグハント時の服装はこんな感じ。

マキシスカートは妊婦使用じゃないのでずり上がってますがそのへんはご愛嬌。

The weather here in GA has been really weird this year.  There were some almost summer like days last week and then it got really cold, then finally it feels like spring.

I started to stock up some summer clothes for Amane and baby #2 recently.  Summer stuff is always so colorful and fun!  But here is what Amane was wearing on one of those colder days.  It is so hard to take a picture of her these days since she wouldn't sit or stand still anymore!

腕短すぎてくめない子　と　こいさん

先週は夏の様な日もあったかと思えば次の日は暖房無しでは寝られない。というような情緒不安定な私の様な天気の続いていたジョージアですが。

最近やっとこさ落ち着きを見せ始め、ぽかぽか陽気の気持ちよい日々が続いてます。

花粉症真っ盛りの私はできる限りインドアを決め込みたいとこですが…

さて久々の雨音コーデ。

自分の服も子供服も、柄をミックスするのが好き。

夏はもっと派手な色柄を着せたいな、アメリカの子供服の良い所は何といっても色が豊富！我が娘は顔が地味なんで、多少派手でもいける。はず。

私も早くマタニティ服から脱却して、普通の服を着たい〜

Thrifty Thursday at Kid to Kid 子供服を安く買う方法 inアメリカ

We went to Kid to Kid today and they were having a semi-annual clearance sale!  Everything in the store was 10% off and an additional 40% off of mark-down prices.  That sounds like a good deal, right?  Babies grow out of their clothes so fast, (even in a month)  so I try to get clothing as inexpensively as possible.

Here's what I got;  three dresses, two tops, one skirt and one pair of shorts for just around $10. Great finds!

I  LOVE Baby Gap, but it can be pretty pricy.  But today I got a dress and a top for $2.80!! Freaking awesome.  You really have to "look" when you shop at any second hand stores, though.  There are items with damage or stains, but if you are careful you can find great steals! Oh, I also got her a pair of toy maracas for being a good girl in the store.  She seems to like playing with musical instrument toys.

本日はリサイクル子供服ショップへ。

半年に1度の大セール！店内全品10％オフ、セール品は更に40％オフ！とのお知らせメールが届いた時点からテンションはぐいぐい上昇。

最近抱っこ紐に飽きつつあるのかぐずる娘に

「必ず気に入るおもちゃ買っちゃるから」←北海道弁全開

と語りかけながら買い物に勤しむ私。

そのかいあって、ワンピース3着、トップス２着、スカート、短パン1着ずつ、合計7着を約10㌦にてゲット♪

下手したら1ヶ月とかで着れなくなってしまう洋服すらあるという、恐るべき早さで成長する我が子。

なので、可愛い洋服を安く買えればこれに越した事はありゃーせん！

ちなみに頑張った雨音にはマラカスをプレゼント、楽器系おもちゃがお好みの様子の彼女。只今子供ピアノ探し中。

Let's go home 家に帰ろう

We are going to my home town in Japan next week.  This will be our first air travel with Amane.  I am a bit nervous about traveling with a baby, but I am sure it will be worth it!

I didn't have a diaper bag until now because there were not any I liked.  They were all very "mommy" looking and I hate that.  But I finally found one I really like and my husband got it for my birthday.  I LOVE it!  The only complaint would be the lack of inside pockets, but I will figure it out somehow.  This is the perfect size for traveling, too.  

I can't wait for Amane to meet my family and friends!  

来週から親子3人揃って日本へ帰省します。

子連れの飛行機はやや緊張もあるけど、俄然楽しみとわくわくが上回る。

まだ雨音に会っていない父や姉家族、友人達に会えるのも嬉しいし、前回は妊娠中のため自粛していたお寿司を心行く迄貪り喰う所存です。

さてさて、雨音が産まれてからもずっと買っていなかったダイパーバッグ（日本ではマザーズバッグと言うのですね）

何故なら可愛いデザインが皆無。パステルな花柄や動物柄とかそんなんばっか。

わたすのキャラに全くそぐわず…

なのでこれまでは普通のやや大きめのショルダーバッグを愛用してたのですが

遂に可愛子ちゃんに遭遇！

誕生日に旦那ちゃんが抱えて帰って来てくれました。大好きなベッツィー・ジョンソン。

いやーベッツィは可愛いな。

これでおもちゃも離乳食の食器も着替えも全部入る！

さてと里帰り、準備は万端。どんな旅になるのやら。

Fashion Baby /ベビコーデ13/05/01

It has been rather cool for Atlanta in April.  I am enjoying this comfy weather, but I just don't know what to wear!  It can be chilly in the morning and then hot in the afternoon.  And I realize Amane has many long sleeve and sleeveless shirts, but not enough short sleeve shirts.

I went to Kid to Kid today hoping to find some half sleeve shirts for her, but I couldn't find any in her size.  This happened to me in many other stores, too. Where are the T-shirts for 6-9 month olds?!

My search for those will continue.

Here is what she was wearing today for the mother and child gathering at the local church.  I even put socks on her today, because so many moms commented on how lightly I dress her.  I hate socks, but I know I shouldn't force my sock hate to my daughter...

珍しく穏やかな陽気の続く最近のアトランタ。

高温高湿の夏が大の苦手な私にとっては喜ばしいけれど、朝涼しくて昼はぽかぽかなので着るものに若干悩むところ。

そして何故か半袖は品薄なのにノースリーブは年から年中豊富なこの国、アメリカ。

６ヶ月女児用の半袖が見つからなくて困っとります。

アイスクリームとか可愛い笑顔の昆虫のTシャツとかは是非とも避けたいし…

今月末日本に帰省したら探してみよう、ワクワク。

Fashion Baby ベビコーデ13/04/16

We applied for Amane's passport yesterday. We didn't know you need to make an appointment to apply for one, so we made a couple trips to the post office without succeeding.

Finally, we found a post office with walk-in passport applications, and after 2 hours of waiting (!), we had it done.

The post office is definitely tops on my list of places I'd rather not be in this country. For our future babies, we will make sure to make an appointment! Never want to go through this again, NEVER.

So now we're ready to purchase tickets to Japan.  I am so excited!

There are so many people I want to introduce Amane to and there are so many foods I want to eat!!

日本帰省に向け、雨音のパスポートを申請しに行ってきました。

何故かアメリカでは郵便局での申請が一般的。

アメリカの郵便局といえば仕事の効率の悪さ、待ち時間の長さで有名。

何でそこにパスポートまで上乗せしちゃうかな〜いや〜検討の余地あんじゃない、

その辺。

と訝しがりながらおそるおそる近所の郵便局に行くと

「アポとって」「あ、でも５月末まで埋まってるわい」

え。パスポート申請に必要な書類提出するだけっしょ？

何でアポが必要!？と泣きわめいた所で何も変わらないので、アポ無しで受け付けてくれるやや遠目の郵便局へ行く事に。（諦めは早い方です）

受付開始時間9時きっかりに到着するも既に長蛇の列、嫌な予感。

しかもさばいてるのは局員１名のみ。

ここで旦那ちゃんに

「あんたの国ってさ、仕事の効率上げようとか、カスタマーサービスとかそういう精神ない訳」

と愚痴るも

「役所仕事ってこんなもんっしょ」

と軽くかわされ更に激昂する私。

そんなこんなで２時間待ちの挙げ句、書類提出して代金払ってはい、終了。

10分もかかってない。

何で他の人は長時間かかってんだ？書類不備？世間話？

何はともあれ次の子供の時はアポとろうと固く心に誓ったのでした。

Thrifty finds! 週末激安子供服の旅

I went to the Humane Society of Forsyth County Thrift Store last Saturday. It's run by a No-Kill animal shelter in Cumming, and profits go to support the shelter. 

It' s a good size store with lots of furniture and household goods.  I wasn't impressed with the amount of kids stuff, but the prices were awesome!  The staff was very friendly and I was even greeted by a dog who is looking for a permanent home. I hope he will find it soon, he seemed like a very sweet dog. 

Here are few of the things I found. They were both 50 cents! That's unbeatable :)

Baby Gap hat for summer! 

先週土曜はアニマル保護シェルターの経営するスリフトストアへ行ってみました。

お店の収益がシェルター運営に貢献する仕組み。買い物する方はお得だし、動物達のためになるなら一石二鳥。

家具や日用雑貨は豊富でしたが、子供服は少なめ。

それでも掘り出し物発見するのが主婦の腕の見せ所。

黄色と黒の花柄ワンピ、Baby Gapの帽子はそれぞれ50セント！（約50円）

しかしワンピースって可愛いからついつい買ってしまうけど、実際カーシートに乗せたらくっちゃくちゃになるし、寝返ってるうちに顔にすっぽり被さって、それをチューチュー吸ってたりするし、実用的じゃないんだよな…

歩けるようになるともっと着せる機会も増えるのかな。

それにしても毎回スリフトストアに行く度に、知らず知らずサイズ別に陳列を直す自分に気付いてハッとする。性格よねぇ。

Fashion Baby ベビコーデ13/04/03

I was born and grew up in the northern part of Japan. We have long winters and tons of snow every year.

So, it has been a challenge for me to get used to the heat and humidity of "Hotlanta". 

I never realized that I dress very lightly until I was told by a couple of moms at the mothers and children's get-together at the Japanese church today.

Neither Amane nor I wore jackets, but I was feeling just fine (it was 63 degrees, that's pretty warm for me).

I wish the weather was always like this here, but I know the horrible summer is coming soon.  How dreadful...

1年の半分を雪が覆う町で産まれ育った私

20度越えたら半袖、25度越えたら暑過ぎて人間としての機能が一気に低下。

そんな私も灼熱のアトランタに来て早4年。

筆舌に尽くし難い暑さと湿度に耐えて頑張っています。

今日はやや晴れていた(18度）ので上着無しで地元教会の親子の会に参加。

雨音に至っては短パンで参戦。

外に出ると意外に風は冷たいけれどこんなの全然平気のへいざでいッと

啖呵を切って出掛けた我らですが

会に来ているママに

「むっちゃ薄着だね…寒くないの？」

とごもっとものご指摘。周りを見渡すとみなさんちゃんとジャンパー着てる。あ。

私は大丈夫でも子は寒いかもなのね、そうなのね、とちと反省した本日。

Star Obsession 星柄に寄せる思い

I am obsessed with star prints right now! I love anything and everything with stars on it! Earrings, shirts, pants...if they have stars on them, I want them!

I have had other design obsessions like butterflies, hearts (that was short-lived), skulls,

and stripes (I still love this last one).  But right now, stars are my favorite.

I was looking at my recent purchases of baby clothes and it made me realized how obsessed I am.

But I only like stars that I think look rock-n-roll, not those cutesy, lovey kind of stars with faces or smiles on them.  Yuck!

星柄が好きです。しましまに次ぐ勢いで好きです。

私は一つの物を好きになるととことん突き詰めるタイプなので、否が応にもその時々の嗜好品を買い溜める羽目に陥ります。そしてある日突然冷める。

過去には蝶々モチーフのアクセサリーを大量に集めていたし、スカルも長い事愛好して（今も）おりました。

しかしながらここ数年やっぱ私はロック調がスキなんだ。って事に落ち着いてからは鳴りを潜めていた収集癖が星柄に出逢った事によって一気に解放。

とは言っても大人の星柄の服ってそんなにあるもんじゃーありゃーせんので、ピアスやシャツ程度↑の可愛いものなんですが、子供服に至ってはいっぱいある！うきゃッ

現在ほぼ5ヶ月の娘。ジーンズに至っては1歳用サイズ（1番小さいのがこのサイズだった）

なんでまだ日の目を見る日は遠いのですが、着せるのが待ち遠しい★

今は何故かギンガムチェックがものすごく気になるのですが、どこにも売ってない…

Fashion Baby /ベビコーデ13/03/22

I went to an Indian restaurant for lunch yesterday with a friend who is expecting a baby boy in May.  I can't wait to see her little man! And another friend of mine is expecting a baby boy in July.  So exciting! 

When we found out I was pregnant, I really wanted a boy, and I am still hoping our baby number 2 will be a little brother for Amane.  But with that being said, I will take another girl or 2 any day :)

昨日は5月に男の子を出産予定の妊婦ちゃんの友達とインド料理屋さんにてランチ。

そして７月にも男の子を出産する友達がいて、只今メンズブーム真っ盛りです。我が家も是非あやかりたいところ。

妊娠が発覚した当初は絶対男の子が欲しい！と思っていた私ですが、産まれてみると女子も楽しいじゃん、可愛いじゃんとすっかり心変わり。

ソフトモヒカンな彼女にめろっと来る日々です。

自分の子供〜学生時代を振り返ると、どうかあんな子には育ってくれませんようにと祈る事しかできない私ですが、こればっかりは神のみぞ知る。

けどやっぱ男の子も育ててみたいし、出来る事ならあと数人子供は欲しい。

だって私と旦那ちゃんの組み合わせからどんな子が誕生するのかなんて予想できないし、毎回違う結果が出るなんて、好奇心くすぐられまくりです。まさに神秘！
